Northwood University Smash Wins Riptide Collegiate Duels Event

MIDLAND, MICHIGAN – Over the weekend of September 11th to September 13th in Sandusky, Ohio, the Northwood University Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster has been crowned the victor of the Riptide Collegiate Duels. Over the past weekend, the Timberwolves battled it out against 31 other universities to be crowned the major champions. While collegiate events are not unknown to Riptide, the Collegiate Duels format was a new experimental change meant to combat the time requirements found in the traditional Collegiate Crew Battles Format. Due to the depth of the Northwood Roster, and leadership by team captain Tyler “Frostbyte” Amos, Northwood was able to bring home the win.
