Northwood University Rocket League Wins Great Lakes Gaming Convention Collegiate Rocket League Invitational
MIDLAND, MICHIGAN – On September 27th, the Northwood University Rocket League roster won the Great Lakes Gaming Convention Collegiate Rocket League Invitational hosted by the Great Lakes Loons. GLGC was a two day event ran over September 26th and 27th, and featured multiple events dedicated to gaming such as Collegiate and Scholastic Rocket events, an over 100 person open Smash Bros. Singles competition, and even trading card game competitions. Over the summer, 16 teams qualified for the event from across the nation and even from Canada.
To take home the coveted GLGC trophy, the Rocket League roster defeated Indiana Tech in a dominant 4-1 fashion to be crowned the winners of the event. On their path, the team had to defeat the JV Northwood University Blue roster, Saint Clair College from Windsor, Canada, and all three Indiana Tech rosters that qualified.
