MIDLAND, MICH – Week 3 of the Fall 2026 esports season saw the start of the regular season for the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC). The start of NECC also saw the start of the remaining academy rosters begin their seasons. Both academy Rocket League teams showed great resilience, closing out victories in incredibly close series.
As week 4 of the esports season begins, a major team to watch for the remainder of the season is the Overwatch Academy Blue roster. While having a bye for week 3, Overwatch Academy Blue is the only academy team to qualify within Division 1 of NECC. Not only does that placement show the excellence in skill of that roster, but also highlight’s the caliber and potential the team has, as they are guaranteed to play against the varsity rosters of other top universities.
