Rocket League National Championship
After a long fall semester, Northwood came out on top of the Eastern Conference playoffs and earned a bid to the Rocket League Collegiate National Championship (CRL).
After two days of competition and wins against Stockton, the University of Texas at Dallas and against Akron found Northwood in the winner’s finals! The grand finals came down to Akron and Northwood, which has been the narrative the entire season. Akron features a current RLCS professional player and has been back to back to back champions of the collegiate rocket league.
Northwood came out strong in the grand finals, winning the first two games. Akron came back with a win of their own, making the series 2-1. Northwood dominated the remaining two games and won the series 4-2, becoming the CRL National Champions.
This season was one to remember and this National Championship has put all other Varsity collegiate Esports programs on notice.
